Description

Follow track 224 from near the Misurina mountain hut, taking you into the forest and climbing quickly higher until you reach the slopes of the Pale di Misurina group.

Turning left, continue along the track, from which you will have fantastic views of Lake Misurina, the Cadini peaks and the Marmarole group.

After about an hour’s walk, you will reach a junction near the gully Forcella di Popena, where you take track 222 downhill.

Following the route that runs across the scree slopes of Corno d’Angolo, you will have a superb view of the Sorapis group and mount Cristallo.

Follow the track until you reach the river Rudavoi and the Tre Croci Pass state road.

For the return trip, follow the same route back.

Alternatively, you can leave a car in the car park near the bridge over the Rudavoi river, not far from the Tre Croci Pass. The route may present difficulties linked to the conditions of the snow cover and the type of terrain.

Shortly before reaching the lake, on the left, take the rough track in order to reach the mountain hut Malga Misurina from where the hike begins.
